Friends will be received at the funeral home on Thursday May 22, 2025 from 3 to 7 PM. A Home Going Service will be held Friday 12 PM at the Riverview Missionary Baptist Church, Catherine Street Kingston. Burial will follow in Montrepose Cemetery.
George Kithcart, Jr., of Emerick Street, Kingston, NY, entered eternal joy on Wednesday, May 14, 2025, at the Health Alliance Hospital Campus (St. Mary's Avenue). He was born on January 20, 1935, to the late George and Esther J. (Watson) Kithcart.
George served his country in the United States Marine Corps in the Korean War and was honorably discharged. He was known to sign off all text messages and emails with Sempi Fi (Always faithful).
George was a master union brick layer and mason, mentoring others in that trade. He was a member of VFW Post 1386 and the Masonic Lodge #182 in Newburgh, serving as the Worshipful Master.
George loved country music and was a performer in his early years. He was a faithful member of St. Mark's Chapel AME Church right up until the time of his passing. On any given Sunday morning, you would find him providing music on the drums.
George was well known and loved by the Kingston community. If he could do anything for you, he would. He loved his family and was beloved by all and was a loyal friend. He could be seen riding around town with man's best friend, his beloved Lexie and her sidekick, Libby.
George was predeceased in death by his parents, sisters Naomi Strong, Estelle Knox, and Delores Mewborn, brothers Marshall, Mason, Melvin, James and Gene Kithcart.
George leaves to cherish his memory his wife Jennie (Sims) Kithcart, Children: Yvonne Brown (Bruce), George Kithcart, III, Virginia Davis (Tony) and Michael Kithcart (Kimberly), his sister Mrs. Dorothy Broadhead and brothers Larry and Wilmon Kithcart. Grandchildren: Shawna-Marie Elizabeth Brown, Erica Leigh Brown, Jenifer Ann Davis, Addison Victoria Jane Kithcart, Great-grandchildren Logan Bradley Manor and Dylan Edward Manor, his best friend Teddy Musialkiewicz and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
"Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things. I will make thee ruler over many things. Enter thou into joy of the Lord."
