George T. "Tim" Lehner, 70, of Lower Heidelberg Twp., passed away Thursday, February 1, 2024 in Penn State Health St. Joseph Medical Center. He was the husband of Rebecca S. (Rogers) Lehner. They were married April 14, 1973 and celebrated 50 years of marriage.
Born in Glen Ridge, NJ, he was the son of the late George F. and Florence L. (Fleming) Lehner. He graduated from Wilson High School in 1972. He worked as a heavy equipment technician for 45 years at Giles and Ransom Catepillar, Whitehall retiring in 2017. He was a member of Northkill Rod and Gun Club, Kempton Rod and Gun Club, Blue Marsh Sailing Association, and Operating Engineers Union No. 542. He was also a member of the Rough and Tumble Engineers Museum, Lower Heidelberg Parks and Recreation Board, and had been a volunteer fireman for Lower Heidelberg Township. He enjoyed antique caterpillar construction equipment, Ford Model Ts, and hit and miss engines.
Surviving in addition to his wife are two sons: Timothy J. Lehner, husband of Stephanie M. (Long), Centre Twp., and Daniel J. Lehner, husband of Kara L. (Brendlinger), Upper Bern Twp.; four grandchildren: Wyatt J. Lehner, Libby Sue Lehner, Adam E. Lehner, and Benjamin J. Lehner. He is also survived by a sister: Lorraine (Lehner) Williams, wife of Robert, Fairview, PA.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, February 9, 2024 at 11:00 am from Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 223 Peach Street Leesport. Burial will follow in Fairview (Belleman's) Cemetery. A viewing will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 am in the funeral home.

I was very sad to hear that George had passed. I remember him being very helpful when we were starting the Diesel Tech program at BCTC. I was so thankful of him for his knowledge and guidance. He will be missed by all. Kevin
