Obituary of George C. Luck
George C. Luck, 59, of Gloversville, New York, passed away peacefully on March 2, 2023 at Mountain Valley Hospice. George was born in Utica, on November 22, 1963 to the late Maurice C. Sr. and Marguerite (Pretty) Luck. He grew up in Clinton, New York where he attended local schools, and graduated from Clinton Senior High School.
For 19 years George was employed at Nathan Littauer Hospital, where he maintained the property and facilities throughout the campus.
Throughout his life, George was known for his love of the great outdoors, and his family. He enjoyed going camping, fishing, and hiking as often as possible. He also loved all aspects of farming, especially caring for animals, and he had a knack for growing plants. Above all, George was most proud of his family; he was a caring father, and doting grandfather. He spent as much time with his children and grandchildren as possible and loved to share his hobbies with them.
George's loving family includes Christine Johnson, the mother of his children, Sarah Collins, George Luck Jr., Carly Ann Luck, and Joanna Eileen Luck; grandchildren, Daniel Clyde Luck, Harper Luck, Jessenia Mahmoud, and Naomi Mahmoud; siblings, Maurice Luck Jr., Willard (Hildegard) Luck, Matthew (Connie) Hastings-Luck, Yvonne Luck, David Luck, and James (Melanie) Luck; as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral services will be held privately, at the convenience of George's family.
