Obituary of George Mikesell

George Mikesell. Age 58 of Brownstown, formerly of Newport.

George passed away on January 4, 2026.

He is survived by his loving wife, Cathy; his children, Emily Stone (Jonathan), Henry Mikesell (Hannah), and Grace; and his mother, Patricia Mikesell. George was a devoted husband, father, and son who loved his family deeply and always put them first.

He is also survived by his siblings: Anne Pippin (Jayson), Timothy Mikesell (Amy), Sabrina Mikesell, Elizabeth Taylor (Rob), John Mikesell (Mary), Joseph Mikesell (Mariz), and Mary Cianfarani (Jamie), as well as many cherished nieces and nephews.

George had a passion for golf and enjoyed spending hours on the course with his golfing buddies. He also loved discovering new restaurants and sharing meals with family and friends. He took great pride in his company, CP Specialty Products and was very dedicated to his work.

Known as one of the most generous men you could ever meet, George devoted much of his time to volunteering, organizing charity events, and helping family and friends in any way he could. Above all, his greatest joy was his family, and he especially cherished being an "Oppie" to his grandchildren.

George is also survived by his grandchildren, Eleanor, Henrietta, Benjamin, and Baby Mikesell, who is on the way. While his family is heartbroken that he will miss out on their lives, they take comfort in knowing that his love, generosity, and spirit will continue to live on through them.

To know him is to love him. George will be fondly remembered by all who knew him. He will join his brother, Charlie Mikesell; his father, Chuck Mikesell; and his sister-in-law, Jackie Coates, in heaven.
