George R. Mitchell

George R. Mitchell was born January 23, 1955 to the late Joe Mitchell and Doris Dean Haskins Mitchell. He departed this life Monday, June 9, 2025, at his home in Greensburg, KY, having attained the age of seventy years, four months and seventeen days.

He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of 2nd Baptist Church in Greensburg. He was a graduate of Greensburg High School. He had a passion for cooking and grilling. Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by two brothers: James Mitchell and Gary Harris.

He is survived by two sisters and four brothers: Phenelphia Mitchell Williams, Katherine and Tom Klienfieldt, Ralph and Pat Mitchell, all of Illinois, Roderick “Rudy” Mitchell of Greensburg, Josiah and Teresa Mitchell of Campbellsville, Ronald and Tina Davis Mitchell of Columbia, a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, plus other relatives and friends.

The funeral service for George R. Mitchell will be 12 noon Central Time Thursday, June 19, 2025, at Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home in Greensburg with cremation to follow.   Rev.  Andre` Calhoun will be officiating. Visitation will be 11 am Central Time until the funeral service at 12 noon Central Time Thursday, June 19, 2025 at Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home.
