George Rudolph Mobley, 77, passed away peacefully with his wife by his side,in his home in Colorado Springs, Colorado, on March 25th, 2025.
George Mobley was born on December 11th, 1947, in Bartow, FL to his parents William Bell & Sophronia Mobley.
When he was just 18, George decided he wanted to join the Air Force. After serving in the military George held multiple positions such as working for Amtrak, Post Office, Better Business Bureau, and an Insurance Adjuster just to name a few.
George married his life partner, Elma, on April 10, 2010, although they have been loving partners for more than 40 years.
George Mobley was an aficionado of music, an enthusiast for travel, and a connoisseur of food, a loving husband and father.
George is predeceased by his parents and brother in love Sam Lee. He is survived by his wife, Elma; his sister, Valerie; his three brothers, Joseph Anthony Smith, Dion Smith, Marlon Smith, four children, Kordel (Nancy) Mobley, Jock (Anissa) Coleman, Kiki Coleman, Tamaria Baker; seven grandchildren, Samuel, Kamari, Kaylee, NDea, Kahlani, B're, Kayden: one great grandchild, Sariya; and his nephew Anthony.
George will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew and loved him. His memory lives on in the hearts of his family and friends and the many lives he impacted. May George rest in peace.
There will be a visitation and memorial service held at Angelus Chapel Funeral Directors at 1104 S Circle Dr on April 3rd at 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM and 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM respectively.
Donations to the American Kidney Foundation are welcome.
Many Thanks to Angelus Chapel Staff for their assistance and to the Air Force military honors team, for your efforts and service in putting together a ceremony for our beloved George and making it an everlasting memory.
