View Tribute Book George Robert "Robby" Moffett III passed away in Pearland, Texas, on Saturday, September 27th, 2025, at the age of 78. Robby was born in Houston, Texas, on May 24, 1947, where he lived until he moved to Pearland at the age of 13. He always said that's when he met and fell in love with his future wife Billie Jo Jones. They were friends all through school and graduated from Pearland High School in 1965. After living their lives apart for 33 years they found each other again and married in 1998. While attending Pearland High School Robby played football, basketball, ran track, and made many special lifelong friends. After graduating he went to Texas Tech and was eventually drafted into the U. S. Army achieving the rank of Sargent. He liked telling stories about his time as a Tank Commander while stationed on the DMZ in Korea. After his discharge he worked with his father in the HVAC business and took over the business in the mid-1970s.Robby was a kind, loving, and generous person to all. He had an amazing ability to remember everybody's birthday and phone numbers. He would send birthday cards especially from him with personal notes. Robby could be extremely hardheaded but had a sweet kind soul. All animals and children loved Robby. He took his time to play and pay uninterrupted attention to them.Robby was a very honest, trustworthy and generous person. His customers have commented on how much they loved and trusted him. He was extremely dedicated to his work. Robby was very old-fashioned in his ways. He always told the grandkids and customers, "this is a phone, if you want me, call me, don't text". He insisted on opening doors, carrying luggage or heavy things, and getting the check like a gentleman. At the same time, he was proud and supportive of the different lifestyles and the odd interests of everyone in his family. If it was important to someone in the extended family, it was important to him, and he wanted to be there to see it and celebrate. He loved to celebrate everyone else's accomplishments, and he loved surprises. Robby worked hard but enjoyed his time watching tv and sleeping. He could go to sleep anytime, anywhere. He loved his trips for ice cream with family. When in Galveston he would get chocolate ice cream and say, "take a picture of this and send it to Darian". He enjoyed the monthly dinners with friends from high school, holidays, parties and athletic events with family. He enjoyed taking naps in his rocker on the porch of his country home in Groveton. Robby was a very dedicated volunteer on the Barbecue Committee with the Houston Rodeo since the 1980s. He had season tickets and shared them generously with family and friends. Robby was strong in his faith and loved his lord. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.Robby is preceded in death by his parents, George Robert Moffett II and Shirley Jean (Nilson) Moffett. Left to cherish Robby's memory are his wife of 27 years, Billie Jo Moffett; son, Vincent Markantonio; daughters, Robyn Duggin and husband Andy, Angela Donaghe Dunwoodie, Rebecca Donaghe, Tyletha Stanley and husband Ken; brother, Richard Moffett, who passed away just two days after Robby; eleven grandchildren; eight great grandchildren, with two more on the way; his loving cousin Cheryl Arnold and husband Greg; and a host of many other family and friends.
