George Robert Perry, age 79, passed away Tuesday August 26, 2025 with his loving family by his side. George fought a long hard battle against Parkinson's and Lewy Body Dementia.

He was born on August 10,1946 to late G Nelson and Eileen Perry. George graduated from Windham High School and ECSU and then starting his working career teaching high school math and made a career change to driving tractor trailers. His next career change brought him a job that fit his personality perfectly doing inside sales at an electric motor company in Bloomfield, Leppert Nutmeg which he retired from at the age of 72.

George married his first wife Louise and she blessed him with 3 children. In 1987 he married the woman who completed what was missing in his life Patricia Callahan and together they started a blended family of 7. George was an avid Yankee's fan and loved his Ford Mustangs and car racing . He continued drag racing in New Hampshire with his brother, Rodney son, Aaron and nephew, Sean until his illness prevented from traveling. He loved going to the Nascar Races with his younger brother Fred and lived life to the fullest. George was a member of Christian Fellowship Church in Scotland where he served as an usher for many years up until his illness prevented him from attending weekly services, even though he could not attend services his faith always remained.

George leaves behind his wife of 38 yrs Patricia who was by his side throughout his illness holding his hand daily. Daughter, Jennifer Willette and her husband Roger of Scotland , Wendy Berlepsch and her wife Lucia of Edinburgh, Scotland and Priscilla Perry and her daughter Araya Reilly his only granddaughter of Vernon and sons, Aaron Perry of Willimantic and Kenneth Perry and his fiance Robert of Oakdale. George is also survived by his brothers, Rodney Perry of Scotland and Fred Perry and his wife Charlene of Scotland; his sisters Joan Perry Doyle and her husband Ray of Scotland and Janet Perry Garson and her husband David of Columbia; brother- in -law William Callahan and his wife Britt of Florida and sister-in-law Linda Collenburg of South Carolina. He also leaves behind numerous nephews and nieces and cousins who will miss his laughter and jokes and quirky sense of humor. He was predeceased by his older brother David and his wife Bridget and their son Elijah.

The family would like to thank the staff at Vanderman Place for all the care and comfort they provided George and our family the last 3.5 years.

Graveside Services will be held on Saturday October 4, 2025 at 1:00 pm at the Palmertown Cemetery on Bass Rd in Scotland with a reception to follow at the Scotland Volunteer Memorial Hall 47 Brook Rd, Scotland. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Scotland Volunteer Fire Dept P.O. Box 48 Scotland, CT 06264 who assisted him many times during his illness.
