George Joseph "Joe" Pinell

George Joseph Pinell "Joe" entered into eternal life on April 9, 2025, at the age of 94.
George was born on July 25,1930. He was a native of New Orleans, La, French Quarter and a resident of Metairie since 1970.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Edna Duplessis Pinell and George John Pinell; his wife, Marilyn Drouet Pinell; his son, Steven Gregory Pinell and his sister, Louise Alhaits.
George is survived by his sister-in-law Patricia Drouet Gabb and his brother-in-law Albert M. Drouet Sr. as well as numerous nephews, nieces, and grand nephews and nieces.
George is a retired state employee in the work force division. He was 1st lieutenant in the U.S. Army, and a graduate St. Aloysius High School and Tulane University. Joe loved learning. He enrolled in college courses until his mid 70's. He was always there for any and all of his family and his friends' requests, "ASK AND IT WAS DONE"
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial Catholic Mass on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, beginning at 11am at Jacob Schoen Funeral Home, located at 3827 Canal St. New Orleans La 70119. The visitation starts for 9am and a Christian Burial will immediately follow the Mass at St. Louis #3 Cemetery on Esplanade Ave. In lieu of flowers, Masses are preferred.
