Joyce Calliouet Crowell

Joyce Caillouet Crowell, age 86, of Slidell, Louisiana entered into eternal rest on February 13, 2026 in Slidell, Louisiana. Surrounded by love, she peacefully went home to be with her Lord and Savior.

Joyce was born on August 20, 1939 in New Orleans to Morris Joseph Caillouet and Serena Claire Alberta, both of New Orleans.

She was the beloved wife of Emile Charles Crowell. Joyce and Emile were united in marriage November 3, 1956 and were married for 69 years.

She was a devoted homemaker who cared for her family and found great joy in her home. She was also a committed New Orleans Saints fan, cheering faithfully through the years.

Joyce is preceded in death by her son Emile Charles Crowell, Jr., her sister Claire C Castaing, and her brothers Dudley Caillouet and Melvin Caillouet.

Joyce is survived by her husband Emile Crowell; her daughter Darlene Cooper (Roy); and her son Eric Crowell (Ingrid).

Grandmother to Tiffanie Hingle (Michael), Travis Cooper (Janel), and Kira Orleans and Kyle Orleans.

Great grandmother to Zoe, Adelynn, Cooper, Hannah, Elliana, and Cruz. Joyce was aunt to many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on February 23, with family visitation beginning at 9am and public visitation from 10am-12pm with a short celebration of life to follow at Jacob Schoen & Son, 3827 Canal Street, New Orleans. Private burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery.
