George Potts

Mr. George Edmon Potts departed this earthly home on April 17, 2023. At which time he was at Brookdale Rehabilitation Facility. George was born August 18, 1942 in French Camp Mississippi to the late George Edmon Potts, Sr. and Eula Cunningham.
As a child growing up, he came to love outdoor activities. George loved to hunt, fish, ride horses, but his greatest love was riding his Harley Davidson Motorcycle.
As a young man, he worked several jobs and travel extensively to different cities. While working on the gasline, he arrived in Anderson, SC. There he met Genevieve Scotland Thompson who became his life partner. To this union they had one son, George Potts, Jr.
George leaves behind fond memories and survived by George, Jr. (Pat), Linda Seals, Sharon Potts, and Emma Purdy; thirteen grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren; brother, Aaron Potts, brother, Rosa B. (Milton) Austin; and a host of other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, George Potts, Sr. and his mother, Eula Cunningham Potts and son, Earl Potts.

Funeral service for Mr. Potts will be held on Wednesday, April 26, 2023 at 1:00 pm at The Unity Mortuary of Anderson.
Public viewing will be Tuesday, April 25, 2023 from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the mortuary.
