George Earl Price, 83, of Aurora, was promoted to Glory on January 6, 2026, at the WV Caring Hospice Facility in Elkins. Born on February 10, 1942, in Cumberland, he was the son of the late George William and Pearl Edna (Shoemaker) Price.

George was a dedicated Minister in the Salvation Army, rising to the esteemed rank of Major through years of faithful service. He served in numerous assignments across the Southern United States, bringing compassion, leadership, and spiritual guidance to communities in need. Beyond his ministerial duties, George was an active member of both the Lions Club and the Rotary Club, where he contributed to local service projects and fostered fellowship among like-minded individuals committed to making a difference. In his personal life, he found great joy in reading his Bible and deeply studying God's Word, drawing strength and inspiration from scripture. He also pursued creative hobbies, delighting in woodworking and drawing, which allowed him to express his artistry and craftsmanship in meaningful ways.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Patricia Louise (Shahan) Price, to whom he was married on March 30, 1962; his son, Jeffrey L. Price of Elizabethton, TN; his grandson, Jared Price; and nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Karen Price; and his sister, Sarah Houldershelt.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Loch Lynn Church of God 8649 Gorman Rd., Oakland, MD 21550.

George's request for cremation was honored. There will be a celebration of life held on Saturday, January 10, 2026, at 11 AM, in the Loch Lynn Church of God with Pastors Ivan and Cindy Ackerman officiating. Friends will be received one hour prior to the service.

The Fredlock & Fenner Funeral Homes, P.A. - Oakland Chapel is honored to be serving the Price family.
