George Richards, Sr. Obituary
George Bruce Richards, Sr. 72, of Boiling Springs, South Carolina, passed away on Saturday, July 15, 2023 at his home.
Born in Mineola, New York on February 9, 1951, he was the son of the late Frank Cash Richards and Henrietta Ida Rhoda Jones Richards and was the grandson of the late George A. Donnelly and Loretta Donnelly.
George worked as a truck driver, loved racing and enjoyed going on cruises.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Barbara Grieb Richards; one daughter, Dawn Driver (Denis Dubuque, Jr.); one son, George Bruce Richards, Jr.; two sisters, Janet Cassese and Betty Jean Dlugolecki; one brother, Ernest Carlson; six grandchildren, David Driver, Jr., Haile Driver, Desiree Blevins, George Anthony Rodriguez, Ayden Richards and Sage Richards along with six nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 22, 2023 from 10:00- 11:00 AM in the Seawright Funeral Chapel. Funeral Service will follow at 11:00 AM in the Seawright Funeral Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to: Spartanburg Regional Hospice, 686 Jeff Davis Drive, Spartanburg, SC 29303.
