Our hearts are heavy as we announce the passing of Anita Nicole Harris, who left this world too soon on Sunday, October 26, 2025. There are no perfect words to describe the life and love of someone who meant the world to so many. Anita was born on Thursday, March 12, 1970; the second of three girls. She loved playing the piano, singing, painting, solving puzzles and getting lost in a novel—preferably one by Danielle Steel. Anita defied the digital age by meticulously maintaining and balancing a physical checkbook—down to the penny.
Anita lived a life full of love, laughter and adventure. Her endeavors and accomplishments included working in roles such as a Substitute Teacher, Accounting Clerk, and Pharmaceutical Assistant - whatever role best served her family or community. She held many more important titles throughout her life—Wife, Mother, Daughter, Sister, Aunt, and Friend—but her favorite was “Gigi,” as she was called by her grandchildren. Her love language was gift-giving. Anita could never allow herself to give just a single gift. You knew it was from her because she always gave an assortment of thoughtfulness arranged in a single, beautiful package.
She will be deeply missed by her husband, Frank Harris; her children, Justin Harris (Brianna Eckhardt), Kristen Finley (Shawn), Chelsea Harris (Jarrod Sorapuru), Nathan Harris (Alexis), Megan Depew (Ryan); her grandchildren, Emersyn, Jax and Leighton; her parents William & Undean Wilson; her sisters, Angela Hayes (Robbie) and Andrea Bray (Mike); and her nieces and nephews.
Anita poured her love into her family and enjoyed a fulfilling life.
A celebration of Anita’s life will be held at 1881 Event Hall, 805 Spartan Blvd. Spartanburg SC, 29301, on Friday, Nov 7, 2025 at 5:30pm.
