George Albert Rubio, age 83, passed away on Sunday, February 22, 2026. A memorial service is planned for 2:00 pm, on Saturday, March 07, 2026, at Tuscaloosa Memorial Chapel Funeral Home, with Bro. Gene Dockery officiating.

Mr. Rubio was born February 09, 1943, to the late Caesar and Piedad Rubio. He grew up in Tuscaloosa. He spent his working career as an exterminator, having worked for Orkin, as well as Guaranty Pest Control, prior to starting his own pest control business. George enjoyed playing softball and football, he also loved singing karaoke with his friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers Ralph Rubio, Louis Rubio and Tony Rubio, sister Carmen Kitchens, son-in-law Arthur Knowles, Jr., sister-in-law Nancy Rubio and brother-in-law Henry Kitchens.

He is survived by daughters Setia Knowles, Lana Pratt (John) and Mary Miller (Brandon), sons Robbie Rubio, Phillip Rubio (Chanel) and Adam Rubio (Gabe), grandchildren Crystal Day, Kyrie Pratt, Alexandra Pratt, Luke Rubio, Brendan Rubio, Lincoln Miller, Nora Kate Rubio and Ashley Rubio, great-grandchildren Kyle Day and Eli Pratt Calloway, sister Liz Rubio and brothers Al Rubio and Joe Rubio.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations, in George's honor, may be made to Caring Days (P.O. Box 3049 Tuscaloosa, AL 35403) or ACG Hospice (631 Helen Keller Blvd, Suite 300, Tuscaloosa, AL 35404).
