George Edward Seewalker Jr.

George Seewalker, age 77 of Browerville, Minnesota was born on the Fort Yates, North Dakota Indian Reservation on September 29, 1946 to George Seewalker and Pauline Looking Elk. he Journeyed to the Spirit World on Monday, January 15, 2024 at the St. Cloud Hospital in St. Cloud, Minnesota. He was the eldest of this mother's six children. he had four sisters: Rosemary, June, Gertrude and MaryAnn; and one brother: Billy.
He lived in Fort Yates and attended elementary school then he went to South Dakota, where he attended high school on the Crow Creek Reservation for all four years. He graduated from Stephan Catholic School run by the priests and nuns. He then went to Chicago, Illinois where he went to college, taking up business courses.
In 1970 he met Ida Zimmerman and eventually two daughters were born to them: Georgia Seewalker and Stephanie Seewalker. George also had five step-children: Donna, Sonny, Dorothy, Diana and Dolores. George was a quiet, kind man. He helped Ida raise her five children, along with their two children.
Survived by his loving daughter: Stephanie Seewalker; sister: June 9 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; many other relatives and friends.
