George Randolph Sturtz, known to many as "Randy," passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, at 7th Heaven Personal Care Home in Conroe, Texas, after battling several health issues. He was 75 years old.
Randy was born on June 11, 1949, to his loving parents, George and Marilyn Sturtz, in Corpus Christi, Texas. He spent his early years there before embarking on a distinguished career in sales that spanned several decades. Throughout his life, he embraced adventure, traveling extensively across North America and cultivating lasting friendships along the way.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 16 years, Jimalynn Sturtz; his children, George Robert Sturtz II and wife Jeamy, Michael Alexander Sturtz and wife Tete, Jeannell Randi Sturtz, and Jillian Alysse Sturtz-Barnes and husband Jordan Barnes. He is also survived by his sister, Rhonda Sturtz and husband Wayne Loftus, his cousin, Gloria Campbell and husband Jack Campbell. He had eight precious grandchildren and many cherished friends. Randy lost his only brother Mark Randall Sturtz in November 2013. Randy had a deep love for photography, the beach, computers, and enjoying his favorite meals. He had a warm and joyful spirit, always kind and welcoming to everyone he met. He never knew a stranger, and his presence brought light and laughter to those around him. His passion for animals, especially cats, was evident throughout his life.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Sunday, April 6, 2025, at 2:00 PM at the Barnes Residence, with a livestream available on social media at 2:30 PM. For those who wish to honor Randy's memory with flowers, donations may be sent to Jimalynn Sturtz at 413 County Road 2191, Cleveland, Texas 77327. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at 7th Heaven Personal Care Home and Bristol Hospice for their compassionate care during this difficult time.
