Steven Todd Gober was born September 3, 1965 in Houston, Texas to parents Sidney Long and Faelynn Gober. He was called to his heavenly home on November 15, 2025 at the age of 60.
Steven was a graduate from Montgomery High School. He had worked for Eastham Machining International before his illness took his life.
He is proceeded in death by his father Sidney L. Gober, grandfathers R.E and wife Frances Long Gober, Aunt Cleo Madden and husband Charles, Uncle Rodney Earl and wife Aunt Janice Gober, cousins Rhandall and Rodney Earl Gober, Jr. Paw Paw (Elmer) and Maw Maw (Claudine) Mullican, Aunt Jeanne Goss, Uncle David Clark and cousin Mack Smith, Jr.
Steven is survived by his wife Candace Betz, son Edmund and wife Lauren Betz, daughter Breanna and Faris Baker-Lababdeh, grandchildren Cailyn and Logan Betz, Annalyse, Faris Jr. and Elias Lababdeh Baker-Labadbeh. Mother Faelynn Gober, sister Stacy and husband Jim Sander, Aunt Carla and Uncle Lowell Rodgers, Aunt Linda and husband Josef Halepaska, many cousins, second cousins and friends with whom he shared laughter and joy.
Steven loved his grandkids, they gave him great happiness, joy and out loud laughter. He also had a desire for all things outdoors. He spent many a day fishing with Paw Paw as a kid and learning from the master on how to catch that big bass "Walter". He loved to hunt and spend time with his friends. He valued and treasured each memory of those times. He spoke about it often. He loved his pets too. From dogs to cats to rabbits. He loved them all! Steven also had a passion for Christ as his walk with Jesus became closer each day. he had many conversations with friends and family about his love for Jesus.
Steven Todd Gober leaves a heartfelt mark on those who knew him. He created joy wherever he went and people were drawn to him. "There once was a boy named Todd, each day I give thanks to God that he will not be hurt that day. For Todd is such a special boy who puts his all into life." May you be walking hand in hand with our heavenly Father until we meet again. We love you now, tomorrow and forever.
