George Michael Thomas

George Michael Thomas, known to those closest to him as Mikey, 33, was tragically taken from us far too soon on June 4, 2025. Born on December 30, 1991, he lived most of his life in his small hometown of Weirton, WV. surrounded by family and friends who cherished him.
He will be missed by his mother Tina Sampson, His father James Sampson, his brother James (Crystal) Thomas, his sister Jessica Wilson, the mother of his children Kala Greene, his children Briella, Londyn, Mikala, and Gaige Thomas, his maternal grandmother Dorothy Rosnick and his paternal grandmother Georgia Sampson.
He had a unique outlook on life and truly lived his life on his terms. He was able to find joy in simple things, such as fishing and spending time with his family and friends. He had a knack for working with his hands, crafting new creations out of seemingly nothing. His creativity and resourcefulness were only matched by his passion for life.
He was the kind of person who would help anyone if he could. He was a good person, a son, a brother, a friend, an uncle, and an even more amazing father. He, like all of us, had more mistakes, but he kept trying his best and loved with everything he had.
George's request for cremation will be honored.
He will be cremated at The Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home Crematory, 3219 Main Street, Weirton, WV. 26062
There are no arrangements at this time.
A Celebration of George's Life will be held at the convenience of the family.
