In Loving Memory of George S. Vogliano, MD
April 25, 1942 – October 16, 2025
George S. Vogliano, 83, of Katonah, NY, and North Redington Beach, FL, passed away peacefully on October 16, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family. Born on April 25, 1942, in New York City to the late Oreste and Mary Vogliano, George lived a life defined by perseverance, compassion, and unwavering dedication to others. A proud graduate of NYU's Class of 1963, he went on to earn his medical degree with honors from the University of Bologna School of Medicine and Surgery in Italy in 1971-an achievement that marked the beginning of a lifetime committed to healing and service.
In 1975, George opened his own internal medicine practice in Katonah, NY, later relocating to Somers, NY. Known as a phenomenal doctor, he treated thousands of patients with skill, heart, and humility. Many of those he cared for became lifelong friends, a testament to the profound personal connections he formed. After closing his private practice, he continued to serve others as a physician at the Danbury Federal Correctional Institution.
George's story is one of determination-a self-made man who became a respected and successful doctor and businessman. His entire life has been about overcoming obstacles and showing that hard work and determination pays off. He was dedicated to helping others find their way, and always placing the needs of his patients, friends, and family above his own.
He was more than a doctor. He was a mentor, a confidant, a man whose door-and heart-was always open. Those who knew George will remember his boundless generosity, his sharp wit, and his unforgettable sense of humor. He had a gift for making people laugh, for lightening even the heaviest of days with joy and warmth.
Outside of medicine, George was passionate about cooking, music, and traveling the world with his beloved wife of 58 years, Rita (Cinquini). Together, they built a beautiful life, filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable memories.
George was a devoted father to George Jr. of Old Tappan, NJ, Andrew of St. Petersburg, FL, and Lia Pitura and her husband Clark of Brewster, NY. He was a proud and adoring grandfather to Dylan, Jacob, Kayla, and Ashley. He is predeceased by his parents, his brother Ernie, and his nephew Ernest, and is survived by many loving nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews.
To the very end, George lived with courage and grace. He fought hard in his final battle, just as he did throughout his life-never for himself, but always for those he loved. He will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever cherished.
Visitation will be held at Clark Associates Funeral Home, 4 Woods Bridge Road, Katonah, New York on Thursday October 30, 2025 from 3:00 to 7:00 pm.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, October 31, 2025, at Salem Golf Club, 18 Bloomer Road, North Salem, New York. Gather at 11:00 AM. Service starts promptly at 11:30 AM.
