George Edward Wallace, 86, of Camden, passed away Friday, January 5, 2024, at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis.


Born on December 4, 1937, in Carroll County, Indiana, George is the son of the late Vernie and Audra (Alma) Wallace.  On June 21, 1959, in Deer Creek, Indiana George married Lois A. Sidenbender who survives.


George retired in 2005 from the Indiana Highway Department. He was a member and former Elder of the Deer Creek Presbyterian Church.


Surviving George, along with his wife Lois, is a daughter, Beth (Alan) Liming of Logansport, IN; son, Steve (Teena) Wallace of Kokomo, IN; two brothers, Jim  Wallace and companion Fran Farney of Camden, IN, Joe (Charlotte) Wallace of Camden, IN; two grandsons, Corey (Haley) Liming of Dubois, IN, Bryant Liming of Kokomo, IN; three granddaughters, Lydia Wallace of Chicago, IL, Mia Wallace of Westfield, IN, Ella Wallace of Kokomo, IN; great grandchild, Kiptyn Liming.


He was preceded in death by a daughter, Baby Girl Wallace, son, Mark Edward Wallace, daughter, Vicky Sue Wallace, sister, June Thomas, and a brother, Doran Wallace.


A celebration of life service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, January 13, 2024, at Deer Creek Presbyterian Church with Pastor Harry Roselle officiating. Burial will follow in the Hopewell Cemetery, Deer Creek.


Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until the time of service on Saturday, also in the church.


Memorial contributions may be made to the Deer Creek Presbyterian Church Breakfast Fund or to the Deer Creek Community Center Outreach Projects.
