Robert J. Zimmerman

Robert J. Zimmerman, age 86, of Logansport, passed away Saturday March 7, 2026, at 4:36 pm in Chase Center.

Born August 13, 1939, in Logansport to the late Joseph and Edna Louise (Schreyer) Zimmerman. On March 23, 1961, he married Chiquita A. "Chick" Holloway who preceded in death on July 9, 2025.

Bob retired from Exide Battery Factory. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He enjoyed fishing, taking pictures and the history of Logansport. He enjoyed spending time in his yard, gardening and taking care of his flowers. Bob also enjoyed making memories with his entire family.

Surviving Bob are two daughters, Kimberly Sue (Mark) Glass, Kokomo; Kelly (Mike) Grandstaff, Logansport; one son, Troy (Dana) Zimmerman, Logansport; one brother, James (Barbara) Zimmerman, Logansport; twelve grandchildren; twenty-one great grandchildren, several nieces and several nephews.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents and one son, Timothy J. Zimmerman and his faithful dog Macy.

A celebration of life service will be held at 12:00 pm Saturday March 14, 2026, in the Grace Fellowship Church with Pastor Jim Zimmerman officiating.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 10:00 am until the time of services at Grace Fellowship Church.
