Jack Lee Zimpleman, born Oct. 24, 1953, age 72, passed away Feb. 25, 2026, after a prolonged illness.
Jack was a loving husband, proud father, and devoted grandfather – a family man in every sense of the word. A lifelong farmer, Jack embraced the life of the land with quiet dedication and pride. Of all the seasons, harvest in the fall was his favorite.
When winter arrived, Jack looked forward to his weekly penny poker card games with friends, where stories, laughter and friendly competition filled the table. He also enjoyed the occasional trip to the casino. Above everything else, Jack found his greatest joy supporting his grandchildren. He absolutely lived for their athletic events and rarely missed the opportunity to attend or watch their games on television.
Jack is survived by his beloved wife of nearly 52 years, Diane; his four children, Angie Deming (Paul), Ryan Zimpleman (Lisa), Greg Zimpleman (Camile), and Laura Woolever (Jake); 11 cherished grandchildren; his brother, Gene Zimpleman; and Andy Curtis, who was like a brother to him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Bonnie Zimpleman, along with his infant twin brothers.
A private graveside service will be Saturday Feb. 28, at 11 a.m. at the Fulton Cemetery. In lieu of visitation hours, a Celebration of Life lunch will follow at noon at the Zimpleman Farm shop, 2094 West State Road 114, Rochester, Indiana. All friends who wish to celebrate Jack's life are warmly invited to join the family in remembering and honoring him.
In the place of flowers or gifts, donations may be made to the Metea Baptist Church, Attn: Board of Trustees, 7391 N. State Road 25, Lucerne, IN 46950.
