George Lester Withers, 59, of Summit Street in Montpelier died unexpectedly on Tuesday, June 4, 2024, at his home.
He was born on March 2, 1965, the son of Wayland and Betty (Wright) Withers.
The summers for George were spent at Silver Towers Camp, taking walks, and he loved swimming and horseback riding. As a people person, George loved going to church and helping his friend with chores. George was fortunate enough to travel and was especially fond of his trip to Hawaii. He would often be found wearing his favorite Tye Dye shirts and Army clothes. He also enjoyed Bob Ross's Paintings and often attempted to recreate his works.
Survivors include his siblings, Beverly Montgomery of South Wheelock, Michael Withers of Minnesota, and Linda Moulton and her husband Tim Moulton of Marshfield, VT.
He was preceded in death by his siblings, Susan Withers, William Withers, Brenda Withers, and Rose LeBlanc.
A time of visitation will be held from 4:00-6:00 on Wednesday, June 12th at the Guare & Sons Funeral Home. There will be no memorial service.

George was my uncle, I was the daughter of William Withers. George had a kind soul and always had a smile on his face. He always gave the best hugs when he saw me, it didn't matter how long it was he always remembered who I was and had to give me big hugs. He will be dearly missed. Rest in peace uncle George
