Georgetta June (Haas) Walker was born June 27, 1931 in Abilene, Kansas to George and Susie (Jamis) Haas. At age 14 she met her future husband, Johnny Walker on a Chadwick School bus. She and Johnny, the love of her life were married, June 30, 1947, just three days after her sixteenth birthday.

    

The couple moved to California for work in the early years of marriage. In 1956 they moved to the 80 acre farm at Ponce De Leon, Missouri, where they raised their four children, Dale, Loretta, Rowland, and Juanita. It was here that they put down roots and lived for the past 67 years. With God as their guide, they were blessed with seventy-seven years of marriage, four children and their spouses, twenty grandchildren, thirty-two great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.

    

Georgetta's strong faith in God, and serving in her local church was vital to her, and was a big part of who she was. She recently attended Ponce Pentecostal Church.

    

Georgetta always had a listening ear and was there if you needed her. She tended her children and grandchildren with love, care, and dedication. Her husband and family were always a priority to her. She loved to sew, paint, garden, and can produce to feed her family. She willingly taught all who wanted to learn. She was famous for her green beans and pickles. Georgetta lived and loved life to the fullest.

    

She is survived by her husband Johnny Walker, son Dale and Linda Walker, daughter Loretta and Larry Call, son Rowland and Donna Walker, daughter Juanita and Jim Coffelt; nieces Linda Philipian, Darlene Engelke, Elsie Colvard; grandchildren Regina Hurt, Katrina and Eric Hicks, Marquita Walker, Serena and Justin Woods, Angeletta and Merle Strohm, Sarah Walker, Shawna and Bear Sartin, Dusty Walker, Jesse and Rebecca Call, Bradley Walker, Jonathan and Christina Walker, Rhonda and Joe Holland, Tonya and Sim Nelson, Steven and Danni Walker, Samuel and Melinda Call, Mathew Walker, Caleb and Hannah Call, Makayla Coffelt; great grandchildren, Haley Hurt, Laken Hopkins, Moriah Call, Benjamin Call, Charity Call, Autumn Strohm, Joshua Call, Landon Strohm, Rachel Call, Jacob Call, Andrew Call, Elizabeth Call, Natalie Woods, Kinsey Doyle, Livia Doyle, Joseph Walker, Stella Woods, Parker Woods, Owen and Hayley Walker, Wyatt Walker, Gavin Walker, Hunter Walker, Oliver Walker, Cameron Sartin, Cooper Sartin, Reid Sartin, Audrey Holland, Joey Holland, Clayton Nelson, Rowdy Nelson, Allie Nelson; great-great grandchildren, Harmony Walker, Julian Walker.

    

Georgetta is preceded in death by her parents, George and Susie Haas, sisters Vernie Craig, Ada Alms, Clara House, and their spouses; granddaughter Kasandra Walker, grandson Jeremiah Walker and a great granddaughter Micah Walker.

    

The funeral service will be held Monday, June 17th at 2:00 with a visitation being held from 1:00-2:00. Burial will be in Martin Cemetery.
