Mary Walker Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Ratterman & Sons Funeral Home - Bardstown on Mar. 2, 2026.
Mary Ann Walker, 78, of Louisville passed away on February 25, 2026. She was born on January 20, 1948 in Louisville, Kentucky to John and Ida Salvagne, who preceded her in death. Mary Ann attended St. Vincent de Paul for grade school and graduated from Mercy Academy. She retired from Louisville Orthopedic Clinic where she formed many lifelong friendships.

She is survived by her husband, Robert Walker; stepchildren, Andrew and Ashley Walker; and children, Dana, Jack, and Jessica Lamon.

She was affectionately known as Nini to her grandchildren, Bailey Revelette (Trent), Hayden Logsdon (Taylor), Jack Lamon, Blane Probus, Gage Edgmon, Izzy Edgmon, and Logan Walker. She was eagerly awaiting the arrival of her great granddaughter, Quinn Revelette due in May.

Mary Ann is also survived by her siblings, John Salvagne (Pauline), Margaret Preston, and Joe Salvagne (Cheryl). She has many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews, who lovingly referred to her as "Aunt Mo".

Mary Ann built a life centered around family, friends, service, and creativity. Following retirement, she and Robert enjoyed their time traveling extensively. She cherished time spent between homes in Kentucky and Florida. Her home at the lake at Rough River was her happy place. Throughout her life, many back porch conversations and gatherings were had with family and friends. She volunteered her time to various charities including Hospice and church clothing drives. She was a talented artist, poet, and seamstress and shared the creations of those gifts with others. She will be remembered for her unwavering devotion to her family, vibrant spirit, and generous heart. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Visitation will be held from 2 p.m. – 8 p.m. on Sunday, March 8, 2026 at Ratterman & Sons Funeral Home 3800 Bardstown Road and after 9 a.m. on Monday, March 9, 2026 at Holy Family Catholic Church 3938 Poplar Level Road. Her funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Monday.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Coastline Community Church Youth Ministry 409 E Eau Gallie Blvd., Indian Harbour Beach, FL 32937.
