GEORGETTE E. TAYLOR
1923 - 2026

Georgette Emilienne Taylor (nee: Thinel); Age 102, of Oxford, Michigan passed away peacefully Sunday, February 8, 2026 at her residence.

Born on March 3, 1923 to Ernest J. and Zulma Thinel (nee: Seguin) in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. Georgette lived a long and meaningful life centered around her faith, unwavering love for her family and enduring patriotism. A devoted Catholic and proud of her French heritage, she was the heart of her family.

Georgette was predeceased by her beloved husband of 51 years, James F. Taylor. She is survived by five children: Georgette (James) Sheehan, Ellen (Garry) Alexander, Linda (Joseph) Amato, James (Kathryn) Taylor, and Joseph Taylor. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Anne Marie Bader.

Throughout her life, Georgette embraced her role as wife and mother but also gave generously of her time as a volunteer with the Red Cross at St. John Hospital in Detroit. Her commitment to service extended beyond her own efforts. She was the widow of a World War II Army veteran and the mother of a Marine who served in Desert Storm.

Family and friends will gather in the summertime to celebrate Georgette's life.

May her memory and her legacy endure and bring comfort to her family, and all who knew her.

Memorials suggested to Hospice of Michigan.
