Georgia M. "GG" Gentry, 94 of Wooster, entered into rest on Sunday, November 17, 2024, at her residence following a short period of declining health. Her beloved family was by her side.
She was born on September 14, 1930, in Wooster to Robert and Lennie (Butler) Haven and has been a Wooster resident for all of her life.
Georgia later married James A. Gentry who entered into rest in 2008.
She worked for the former Rubbermaid in Wooster for over 38 years before her retirement in 1991.
Georgia was a long-time member of Wooster Church of the Nazarene; enjoyed vacationing with her family and sisters throughout the years. She also enjoyed being outside with nature, working puzzles and mostly loved spending time with her family and especially all of her grandchildren.
She is survived by her sons, James A. III (Jennie) Gentry and Larry D. (Gayle) Gentry all of Wooster; 7 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren and 12 great-great grandchildren; a daughter in law, Dee Ann Gentry (of the late Steven Gentry); a close family friend, Charlene Trivette of Wooster.
In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by her son, Steven D. Gentry; grandchildren, Jenny Jo Gentry, Chad Bresson and a great-grandson, Corey Stone; brothers, Robert Haven, David Haven and Richard Haven; sisters, Virgie Rouch, Drucilla Howell, Janice Cornett and Kate Lucci.
As per her wishes, a private committal service will take place at the convenience of the family at a later date.
Custer-Glenn Funeral Home in Wooster is assisting the family.
Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to: Ohio's Hospice Life Care, 1900 Akron Rd., Wooster, Ohio 44691.
