Mrs. Georgia Penolia "Penny" Kelly Gresham, age 68, of Summerville, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Monday, July 28, 2025, at her residence. She was born on February 16, 1957, in Columbia, LA, and was the youngest daughter of the late George Burton Kelly, Sr. and the late Edith Ainsworth Kelly.

Penny was a 1975 graduate of LaSalle High School. She went on to graduate from Rod Brady Technical College where she studied to be an LPN. She worked for a number of years at Golden Age Nursing Home followed by several years working for Dr. I.C. Turnley, before eventually becoming a homemaker.

She was a devoted member of Midway Baptist Church. She enjoyed sewing and crafting and was well known for her biscuits and syrup cake. Her favorite thing to do was spending time with her family, especially her children and grandchildren, to whom she was affectionately known as "GiGi".

Penny is survived by her husband of almost 50 years, John Anderson "Andy" Gresham, Jr.; three children, Paul Michael "Mike" Gresham, and wife Dayna, of Pineville, Scott Anderson Gresham, and wife Rebeka, of San Antonio, TX, and Amy Gresham Morgan, and husband Justin, of Pineville; and grandchildren Jillian, Dayton, and Madelyn Gresham, and Ryder and Graham Morgan.
She is also survived by sisters, Helen Gresham, and husband Ricky, and Judy Tadlock, and husband Howard, all of Jena, and one brother, Burton Kelly, and wife Colleen, of Washington. She also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss her.

Funeral services will be held at 10a.m. Wednesday, July30, 2025, at Midway Baptist Church in Jena, Louisiana with Rev. Dick Enterkin officiating. Interment will follow in Woodland Cemetery in Jena, Louisiana under the direction of Southern Funeral Home of Winnfield. The family will receive friends at the church on Tuesday, July 29, 2025, from 5:00-9:00 p.m.
