Georgia S. Smith

Georgia S. Smith, age 78 of Kunkletown, PA passed away Saturday, May 17, 2025 at Fellowship Community in Whitehall, PA.
Georgia was born in East Stroudsburg, PA, daughter of the late George Smolenyak Jr. and Irma Smolenyak.
She was the loving and devoted wife of the late Gerald F. Smith who preceded her in death on February 26, 2014.
Georgia was a caring and dedicated elementary school teacher for the Pleasant Valley School District in Brodheadsville, PA. She devoted over thirty years to this calling, most of which were spent teaching fourth grade. She also assisted with the operations of the Smith Brothers Farm in Kunkletown, PA for many years.
Georgia was a member of Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Gilbert, PA.
She enjoyed traveling and day trips with her husband Gerald and friends. Georgia loved animals, especially her beloved dogs.
We have been blessed with the presence of Georgia in our lives. She will be deeply missed by her many friends and those whose lives she touched throughout her own life.
Her closest and dearest friends: Sharon Konawalik of Kunkletown, PA, Abigail Frantz and husband Darrin and their daughter Aurora of Kunkletown, PA and Margaret Calcavecchia and husband Robert of Effort, PA.
Funeral services will be held 11 am, Tuesday, May 27, 2025 at Gower Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 1426 Route 209, Gilbert, PA. Family and friends are welcome to offer condolences from 10 am, Tuesday, May 27, 2025 until time of service at the funeral home.
Georgia will be laid to rest next to her loving husband at the Gilbert Cemetery in Gilbert, PA.
Memorial donations may be made to an animal rescue of your choice.
