Georgiana Prickett, 81, of Buckhannon WV, formerly of Barrackville WV, went to be with the Lord on May 25, 2025. She was born in Fairmont WV on December 18, 1943, the daughter of the late George Chester Bissett and the late Mary Ann Bissett.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Lawrence Prickett. She is survived by her two children: Douglas Duane Prickett and wife Jeanie of Barrackville, and Tami Lynn Prickett and fiancé Brad Thorton of Deland, Florida; her grandchildren: Breanna Prickett and partner Dan Strauser of Clarksburg, and Brandon Prickett of Martinsburg; her sisters: Nancy Hite, Mary Lou Fox, and Alice Poling and husband Dave Poling; brother in law Don (Linda) Prickett of Barrackville; brother in law Tim Lucente of Barrackville; sister in law Jean Janicki of Huntington; several nieces and nephews and many good friends.

Georgiana graduated from Farmington High School and Fairmont State College where she graduated with honors and was active in the Gamma Chi Chi Sorority. She remained active in the sorority throughout her life. Her senior year, she was elected as a member of the Blazers (an honorary women's organization).

Georgiana was a member of the Monumental U.M.C. where she played the piano for many years. In Buckhannon, she attended Tennerton U.M.C. and played the piano there, as well as at Mount Hope U.M.C. Even two weeks before her death, Georgiana made it to church and played the piano. She said she missed some notes. Georgiana loved gospel music and loved going to concerts, particularly if it was the Gaither's or the Issac's. We always called her a gospel groupie.

She enjoyed reading, working crossword puzzles, playing cards and board games, mowing grass, and watching Mountaineer football and basketball. She was also a Steeler's fan. Georgiana enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She was a person of great faith and never met a stranger. She will be missed by all who knew her.

The family will receive friends at the Hutson Funeral Home, 3171 Husky Highway, Farmington on Friday May 30, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Stephanie Bennett and Pastor Dwayne Brown officiating. Interment will follow at the Monumental U.M.C. Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Monumental U.M.C., Tennerton U.M.C., and the Upsher Parish House. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.HutsonFuneralHomes.com.

Our sincere condolences to Doug, Tami and family. I remember your mom´s kindness and generosity especially when you were both in school. She was always involved as a parent and so helpful in school activities that you were involved in. So many good memories when she traveled with our Bison track team to Huntington WV, Dayton, OH and Bloomington, Indiana. She will be missed.
