Georgina Catherine Davis, affectionately known as George, passed away peacefully on September 2, 2025, at the age of 92. She was surrounded by her loving niece, Terri, and Terri's husband, Jody, who held her hand and spoke with her during her final hours. She died peacefully at 6:17 pm. She was born in Port Huron on August 15, 1933, Georgina was the first child of Harold and Catherine (née Hanes) Davis. She grew up in a supportive household, where she was an exceptionally bright student and mature for her age. As a young woman, she enjoyed watching her father's career as a St. Clair County deputy sheriff and, later, a city commissioner for Port Huron. She graduated from Port Huron High School in 1951, continued her education at the Junior College of Port Huron, and earned her degree from the University of Michigan. For many years, Georgina worked for Women's Benefit in Port Huron. Georgina was known for her generosity, creativity, and love for her family. She was an avid reader who especially enjoyed James Patterson books. She had a passion for art and antiques and was a creative, crafty person, particularly skilled at flower arranging. Her compassionate spirit was evident in her involvement with "Jail and Bail" and other fundraising events for those in need. She also cherished her time bowling with her mother, Catherine, a member of Port Huron Sports Hall Of Fame. Georgina's adventurous spirit led her to travel extensively, bringing back mementos from Africa, Scotland, Ireland, England, and many other places for her niece and nephews. She made annual visits to Las Vegas. She was neat and organized person, and her generous nature extended to both her family and others throughout her life. She is survived by her niece, Terri (Davis) Baker and her husband, Jody Baker, great niece and great nephews, Brittney Baker and fiancé Mason; their children, Armonie, Keaton, Stori, Niarah, and Manasseh; nephews, Andre Baker and his wife, Kelly, nephew Elijiah Baker, and nephew, Roger Lefebver Jr. Georgina was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Catherine Davis, her sister, Karen Davis Lefebver, and her nephew, Frank Lefebver. The family expresses gratitude to the staff at Mercy Village and Regency On The Lake for their devoted care. Georgina's kindness, creativity, and love for her family will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew her. A private family service will take place at a later date. Jowett Funeral Home is privileged to serve the Davis family.
