Georgina Felix

On January 7, 2024, we bid a heartfelt farewell to our dear mother, Georgina Felix- a pillar of strength, a grandmother, a beloved aunt, sister, and daughter. Born on Halloween in 1953 on her cherished island of Puerto Rico, Georgina's journey led her to Queens, New York, then Holyoke, Mass. She would finally plant her roots in Hartford, CT, where she lovingly raised her children.
After facing a life-altering medical event, Georgina emerged with unwavering determination through extensive rehabilitation. Amid personal trials and societal challenges, she became a devoted advocate for children with disabilities in her community. Her work within the school system and collaboration with community leaders earned her numerous awards and recognition for impactful outreach.
Leaving behind a legacy of love and resilience, Georgina is survived by four children and two adored grandchildren. Though our hearts carry the weight of her departure, we find solace in believing she continues her advocacy in heaven alongside the Lord.
To honor her memory, calling hours for friends and family are set at Farley Sullivan Funeral Home in Wethersfield, CT on Monday, January 15, 2024, from 5 PM to 7 PM. The final chapter of her earthly journey unfolds on Tuesday, January 16, at 11 AM, leading to her eternal resting place at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Hartford. In celebrating Georgina's life, we cherish the remarkable woman who left an indelible mark on all fortunate to know her.
