Gerald Raymond "Jerry" Baerenwald

Gerald "Jerry" Raymond Baerenwald, age 93, of Three Lakes, WI died on Saturday October 18, 2025. He was born May 18, 1932 to Elmer and Burdella (née Buth) Baerenwald in Milwaukee, WI.
Jerry graduated from Clintonville HS in 1950. He College in Stevens Point, where he earned a degree with majors in Biology and Conservation. A two year stint in the US Army followed where he served as a communication chief in a combat engineer battalion and also was on the 3rd division rifle team.
He married Margaret "Marge" Clingman and they were married in Ferriday, LA. in December 1957 and moved to Milwaukee.
Jerry worked in the laboratories at the Allen Bradley Co. (which became Rockwell Corp.) for 31 years, retiring in 1988 as a senior project supervisor. Jerry and Marge bought Timberlane Resort on Meta Lake in 1986 and operated it together as a family resort until year 2000.
During his time in the Northwoods Jerry was a volunteer for the USDA Forest Service for over 10 years, producing and presenting several slide-tape nature programs, among other projects. He also volunteered at Faith Lutheran Church in Three Lakes, Our Savior Lutheran Church in Eagle River, the Eagle River Farmer's Market, the Senior Craft Shop, and Badger Bridge Club. Jerry enjoyed many hobbies, including deer hunting, fishing, gardening, intarsia woodworking, growing orchids and playing bridge.
Jerry is survived by his son: Tim (Vickie); grandchildren: Suzy and Jeremy; great grandchildren: Kelsey and Gloria; brother: Marvin (Carol); as well as many relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years: Marge; son: Matthew; sister: Joyce; and parents.
A memorial service will be at 1:00pm on Saturday October 25, 2025 at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Eagle River, WI. Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to service.
