Gerald J. Bonmer

Gerald Joseph "Jerry" Bonmer, formerly of Southampton, passed away on Tuesday May 16, 2023. He was 87. Jerry was the son of the late Francis Bonmer and Mary O'Keefe. He survived by his children, Patricia Taylor (Jimmy), Kathleen Bazow (Terry), Mary O'Neill (Jay), Gerald Joseph, Jr. (Colleen), Joanne Grant (Larry) and RoseMary Bonmer; grandchildren, James, Amanda, Jonathan, Kurtis, Michael, Dennis, Brad, Kaitlyn, Brendan, Gillian and Kevin; one great grandchild; brother, Joseph M Bonmer; sister in law, Sally Bonmer and his many nieces and nephews. Jerry is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Florence ("Sue") Mary Bonmer (Puntel), daughter Susan Mary, sister Joan Leimer (Bonmer) and his brother, Francis G. Bonmer.
Jerry spent most of his free time Ballroom dancing, competing in many competitions. He was the USA Dance's longest serving member of the Governing Council, retiring from his position as Membership Director after 35 years of service. When he wasn't dancing you could find him sitting on his front porch reading.
Relatives and friends are invited to Jerry's Life Celebration on Saturday June 3, 2023 from 10 to 11:30 AM at McGhee-Givnish Funeral Home, 690 Belmont Ave., Southampton, PA. Services will begin at 11:30. Interment will be on Saturday June 24, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Cheltenham..
