PERRY – Gerald Eugene Bradley passed away peacefully on Monday, September 15, 2025, his 89th birthday, and awakened in heaven to see his risen Lord. A graveside memorial service will be held at a later date at Mount Carmel Cemetery in Dexter, Georgia. Details of the service will be announced as soon as they are available. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorial contributions be made in Gerald's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude’s Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Born in Post, Texas, Gerald lived a life marked by dignity, resilience, and a firm faithfulness to his Savior. After graduating from Post High School, Gerald pursued a degree in textile engineering from Texas Tech University in Lubbock, TX. Although he spent most of his life in the Southeast, Gerald always considered himself a Texan. He worked with textiles at Burlington Industries and at Bibb Company, and he later became an entrepreneur, opening two family businesses in Warner Robins before retiring. In his later years, Gerald enjoyed watching Westerns on television, playing solitaire on the computer, and reading his Bible. He was a member of several Baptist churches in the area including Westside, Oakland, and Shirley Hills Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 36 years, Jo Dixon Bradley; his daughters, Tracy Steel and Cynthia Bradley; and his parents, Mildred Crider Wilbourn and Vernon Bradley. He is survived by his daughter, Andrea Willis Godwin (Mike) of Annapolis, Maryland, and several grandchildren. Condolences for the family may be left in the online guestbook at www.watsonhunt.com. Watson-Hunt Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
