Gerald T Cannon, passed away peacefully on 27, September 2025 with his surviving beloved wife Angelina at his side. Gerald was born in Hackettstown, New Jersey to the late Helen (Baggott) and John Cannon Sr. In addition to his parents Jerry is predeceased in death by his brothers John Cannon, Richard Cannon, and his sister Betty Reed.

Jerry served in the United States Army Air Force from 1945 to 1947 with honor and dedication carrying the voices of service throughout his life. He was employed at Picatinny Arsenal for over 40 plus years rising to the position of Supervisory Management Analyst in the Army Research Development and Engineering Center.

Jerry was passionate about sports from a young age maintaining an active life style well into his late years. He was an avid golfer, tennis player and skier admired for both his skill and sportsmanship. He was s respected mentor and role model inspiring young players in a variety of sports emphasizing teamwork and dedication.

Jerry was a devoted husband to his wife Angelina (Angie) Lepore for 47 years and will always be remembered for his kindness and joy of life. He is also survived by his niece Kathleen Cannon of Pennsylvania, and his nephew Thomas Reed of New Hampshire.

Visitation will be Friday, October 3, 2025 from 10:00 am – 11:00 am at Cochran Funeral Home, 905 High Street, Hackettstown, NJ 07840.

The funeral mass will be held Friday, October 3, 2025 at 11:30 am at Good Shepherd RC Church, 48 Tranquility Road (Route 517), Andover, NJ 07821.

Interment will be held at Stanhope Union Cemetery, Waterloo Road, Stanhope, NJ 07874 following the funeral mass.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donation be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Memorial & Honor Program, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942, stjude.org Or Karen Ann Quinlan Hospice Foundation, 99 Sparta Avenue, Newton, NJ 07860, karenannquinlanhospice.org or the charity of your choice.
