Gerald Cornwell Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Graham Funeral Home & Cremation Services on Dec. 26, 2022.
Gerald Edward (Jerry) Cornwell passed away December 22, 2022. Jerry was born in Kings Mountain, SC and grew up in Norfolk, VA. After his time in the Army, Jerry started his career with CandP Telephone Company and retired from what is now ATandT.
He will always be remembered by those who knew him for the many projects of varying skill sets he would accomplish over the years in the garage he had built. Restoring motorcycles, cars, and building furniture were among some of his favorite passions. His kids were always involved and learned many life serving lessons while spending time in the garage with dad. He loved his family and relatives. He was always available to lend a helping hand to friends and neighbors.
He loved to joke around and enjoyed listening to the oldie's classic country music. He adored his beloved companion dog Punkin and would often remind everyone how much he loved her.
Jerry was the son of Hoard and Agatha Cornwell. He was the brother of Evelyn Grainger and Hoard Cornwell Jr, all predeceased.
He is survived by his wife Luise of 65 years; two Sons, Kenneth (Leslie), and Richard of Virginia Beach; two grandchildren, Jennifer Davis (Mark) of Charlotte, Christopher (Lauren) of Norfolk; three great-grandchildren; Conor and Nolan Davis; Khovelle Cornwell.
