Gerald Davis, born in Kansas City, MO to Adam Brock and Willa Davis, attended Lincoln High School. He earned a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice and served at the Jackson County Detention Center, KCATA, and CertainTeed before retiring.
Gerald was an avid reader and food enthusiast, Gerald also loved sports, golfing, and to travel, one of his favorite places to visit was New Orleans and listening to jazz. He was blessed with 4 children, Gerald enjoyed spending time with his family-especially his children and grandchildren.
Later in life Gerald reconnected and married Ritchie.
He departed this life on February 11, 2024.
Gerald was preceded in death by father, Adam Brock; mother, Willa Davis; daughter, Chrischona Allen; sisters, Mary Love, and Lucille Denmon.
He leaves to cherish his memory wife, Ritchie Davis; children, Gerald Nelson( Letitia), Marci Piggie-Taylor, Tatiana Singleton, and Kellie Allen. Grandchildren, Gerald Nelson, Riley Madison, Krishan Nelson, Kendryx Stone, Felicia Gordon, Saunniece Gordon, Takeisha Gordon, Andrea Ashley and Andre Brown. Sisters, Hattie Smith, Davetta Rushing (Lee), Perri Cadenhead( Keith), Candace Rucker (John), and Patsy Massey. Brothers, Graham Brock, and Chester Brock, and his niece Evelyn Ersery, and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins and friends.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday February 23, 2024, visitation will be held from 8: 00 A.M. - 10:00 A.M. with services beginning at 10:00 A.M. at Golden Gate Funeral & Cremation Services, LLC 2800 East 18th st., KCMO 64127.
