Gerald Dye, 83, of Lexington, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on March 3, 2026. Born in Magnolia, Kentucky, Gerald was the son of the late Oscar Dye and Annie Pearl Ford Dye. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather whose life was centered around faith, family, and hard work. Gerald was married to the love of his life, Edith Harris Dye, for 63 wonderful years. Together they built a strong and loving family rooted in love and dedication. He is survived by his three sons; Darnell Dye, Dwayne Dye (Angela Dye) and Kenny Dye (Amy Quinn Dye); he was a proud grandfather too; Lyndsay Dye, David Dye (Natosha Dye) and Chris Dye (Ashley Dye) and he was also blessed with great-grandchildren: Landon, Khole, Aidan, Kaylee, Brice, Addison, Karina, Kinley, and Kaleb. Gerald dedicated over 60 years of his life to working as a truck driver before retiring in 2023 at the age of 81. He was known for his strong work ethic and his unwavering commitment to providing for his family. In his free time, he loved fishing, finding peace and joy out on the water. Funeral services for Gerald will be 10:30AM on Tuesday, March 10 at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home, 3421 Harrodsburg Road, Lexington, KY 40513. Burial will follow at Blue Grass Memorial Gardens, 4915 Harrodsburg Road, Nicholasville, Kentucky 40356. Visitation will be from 5:00PM to 8:00PM Monday at the funeral home.

Gerald will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. His legacy of love, strength, and devotion to family will live on for generations to come.
