Michael Coyle Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Clark Legacy Center - Nicholasville on Mar. 4, 2026.
Michael "Mike" Dean Coyle Sr. passed away peacefully at his home on March 3, 2026 surrounded by his family.

He was born on November 7, 1955 to the late Eugene and Opal Coyle in Newark, OH. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Mark Landis Coyle and William "Bill" Thomas Coyle.

Mike leaves behind his four children to cherish his memory, Michael Coyle, Jr, Mark (Carrie) Coyle, Matt (Kaitlyn) Coyle, and Mitchell Coyle (Maggie Bisson), all of Lexington. He was lucky enough to be "Papa" to four amazing grandchildren, whom he loved greatly, Olivia Rayley, Madilyn Grace, Emeline Landis, and Matthew William. In addition to his children and grandchildren he also leaves behind three sisters, Jeannie Pennington, Roberta Williams, both of Lexington, Pam Robinson (Versailles), one brother, Terry Coyle, (Texas), and his former spouse, Tammy Vance (Lancaster), as well as many other family and friends.

Mike was a man who lived life fully, with fierce love for his family. For 39 dedicated years, he worked at James Motor Company in Lexington. An avid outdoorsman, Mike found peace in fishing, camping, hunting and his many years serving as a Scout Master. His recognition as a Kentucky Colonel was an honor he held with quiet pride. Mike loved adventure-especially the kind that came without a plan. Some of his favorite memories were made traveling wherever the road led, without an itinerary, simply enjoying the journey. Christmas was his favorite time of year. One of his favorite things was decorating for the holidays. Above all, Mike fiercely loved his family. He was never happier than when surrounded by his children and grandchildren who will miss him deeply and forever cherish the time and precious memories they shared with him.

In keeping with his wishes, visitation will be held at Clark Legacy Center in Brannon Crossing on Saturday, March 14, 2026 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Funeral service will immediately follow visitation. There will be no gravesite service.

A Gathering of family and friends will be 5pm-7pm Saturday, March 14, 2026 at Clark Legacy Center - Brannon Crossing followed by celebration of life service at 7pm. More Bio Info to come.
