Gerald Engle Obituary
Gerald H. Engle, Sr., of Manheim, PA., passed away on Sunday morning, March 17, 2024, at the Lebanon VA Medical Center. Born in Cornwall, Lebanon Co., he was the son of the late Henry P. Engle and Elma (Price) Engle. He was the loving husband of Loretta F. (Engle) Engle, to whom he was married for 57 years.
Gerry proudly served our country in the United States Army.
Gerry was a member of Hope Episcopal Church, of Manheim. He loved fishing, hunting, working in the yard and eating out with Loretta. He loved spending time with this loving family, especially his grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his two children, Veronica S. Fuhrman, of Cornwall, and Gerald H. Engle Jr., of Girardville; three grandchildren; four nieces; and one sister, Bette M. Puckett, of Louisiana. He was preceded in death by a sister, Jeanette Luce.
Interment will be held privately and at the convenience of the family in Hernley Mennonite Cemetery, Manheim. To express a condolence with the family or for additional information, visit www.spencefuneralservices.com.

You have made your final march down the lonely dusty trail. Gerald, you are now relieved from your post. A job well done fellow veteran. America thanks you for your service to our country in the defense of freedom and democracy. The final bugle has sounded and taps is about to sound ending a successful career as a nation´s defender. My Deepest Condolences to Aunt Loretta and family. I´ll never forget the snowmobile ride Uncle Jerry had with Bob Rule, we all never laughed so hard as they both came back looking like icebergs, so many good memories and fun times I will cherish forever. Gone too soon but never forgotten, May God give you peace in this difficult time. Love Patty
