Gerald Goolsby French of Bennington, Oklahoma passed away on Friday, June 20, 2025, at the age of 68. He was born on Monday, November 12, 1956 in Amarillo, Texas to Bonnie Lee (Glosson) Rowland and Homer Jewell Goolsby.
Gerald was a longtime resident of Bennington, Oklahoma. He liked being outdoors and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He also liked to build motors and hot rods and enjoyed working on cars in general.
Survivors include his son Jason Goolsby of Durant, Oklahoma; brothers Glen of Bokoshe, Oklahoma, Homer French of Mead, Oklahoma; sister Mary Brackett of Calera, Oklahoma; mother Bonnie Rowland of Durant, Oklahoma; granddaughters Angela Marie Goolsby, Rylynn Alexandria Goolsby; numerous nieces, nephews, as well as other extended family and friends.
A graveside service will be held at 10:00am on Wednesday, June 25, 2025 at Wade Cemetery in Wade, Oklahoma with Bro. Ross Phillips officiating. Mark Andrews, Ricky Knight, Tony Goolsby, Rick Goolsby, and Tim Goolsby will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Mike Beuford, Kirby Allison, and Asher Oliver.
