Gerald F. Higham, II age 71 passed away on July 4, 2022. He was the beloved husband of Susan (nee Allatt) for over 49 years. Gerald was the loving father of Gerald Higham, III (Amy), Andrew Higham, (Adelfa), Rebecca Higham (Kristi) and Joshua Higham. He will also be sadly missed by his grandchildren, Logan, Nathanael (Amaris), Eleasha, Thomas, Aiden, Christopher, Asher, Nicholas, Breya, Charlie, LeeAnn, great grandson Acelyn, sister Judy Schwenk (Sonny), nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends.
Gerald was a US Navy Veteran who retired after 23 years of service. He was a longtime member of Trinity and St. Luke's/Bishop Hoffman Reformed Episcopal Churches, where he served as the Junior Warden, Senior Warden, Sunday school teacher, young people's leader, and on various denominational boards and committees. He also served as a scout leader for many years, enjoyed camping and jelly donuts, but most of all, he was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather.
Relatives and friends are invited to greet his family Monday, July 18, 2022 from 11:00 am to 12:00 noon at St. Luke's/Bishop Hoffman R.E.C., 6701 Frankford Avenue Philadelphia, PA 19135. His memorial service will follow at 12:00 noon at the church. Gerald will be laid to rest at Washington Crossing National Cemetery with US Navy Honors.
In lieu of flowers memorials in Gerald's name to St. Luke's/Bishop Hoffman R.E.C., 6701 Frankford Avenue Philadelphia, PA 19135 would be appreciated.
