Gerald C. "Jerry" Kahn

Gerald Clifford Kahn, a longtime member of the community, passed peacefully on Monday, August 19, 2024, at the age of 69.
Jerry was born June 11, 1955, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to the late Clifford and Helen (Fritz) Kahn. Jerry grew up in Greenfield, Wisconsin, graduating from Greenfield High School and later attended the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. He worked alongside his father at Cliff's Wood Floors. Upon his father's retirement, Jerry took over the business, which then became Jerry's Wood Floors. In addition to being a business owner, Jerry was also a certified IRS enrolled agent at H&R Block, where he worked for over twenty years.
Jerry found solace spending time at his beloved cabin in Crivitz, where he also enjoyed hunting and fishing. It was in the company of his friends and family however, that Jerry found his greatest joy. He considered his friends to be family and looked forward to spending time with them. His warm smile, playful banter, and genuine kindness endeared him to all who knew him. He was known for his sense of humor, kindness, and willingness to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Jerry's home was a gathering place where he hosted yearly Halloween parties that brought laughter and joyful memories to all who attended.
Jerry leaves a legacy of kindness and friendship that will be remembered and cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
His siblings, Penney, Bob (Terry), and Dennis (Jan), nieces and nephews, Erika (Paul) Crosby, Adam (Chris) Kahn, Greg Kahn, Dan (Stephanie) Kahn, Kris (Celina) Kahn, and a host of other family and friends mourn his passing. Jerry's memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him. May he rest in peace, knowing the profound impact he had on the lives of others.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Linden Grove Assisted Living and to everyone who cared for Jerry and provided comfort during his final weeks.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 31, 9:30 am- 11:30 am at Max A. Sass & Sons- Greenridge Chapel, 4747 S. 60th St. Greenfield, WI 53220. A memorial service will follow at 11:30 am.
