Mr. Gerald Edward Kee, Sr., 83, passed away Friday, October 24, 2025, at Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis.
A funeral service is scheduled for 4:00 pm Thursday, October 30, 2025, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Shane Utley will officiate. A private graveside service will be held at a later date.
The family will receive friends from 3 to 3:45 pm Thursday at Lady's Funeral Home.Mr. Kee was born February 10, 1942 in Concord. He was a son of the late Kinnie Jerome Kee and Rossie Geneva Hargett Kee. He loved watching racing, especially Dale Earnhardt, Sr., and football on TV. Mr. Kee enjoyed cooking for his family, and always made sure that his yard was well groomed. He retired as a supervisor from Star America.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a step-daughter, Tracy G. Bost; and two brothers, Larry Jerome Kee and William Nathan Kee.
Mr. Kee is survived by his wife, Frankie Veronica Stamey Kee; two children, Eddie Kee of Kannapolis and Tammy Harkey and husband Kenny of Salisbury; two step-sons, Robby Bost of Kannapolis and Tony Bost of Randleman; step-daughter, Kristy Sellers and husband Steven of Kannapolis; 10 grandchildren, Ashley Oprecht Fullam and husband Justin, Alisha Bost, Westley Harkey and wife Lauren, Daniel Bost and wife Phyllis, Hunter Harkey and wife Mackenzie, Tony Bost, Brandon Bost, Heidi Bost, Ian Sellers, and Owen Sellers; seven great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
