Gerald Killewald Obituary
He was born on Sept. 14, 1941 in Birmingham to the late Donald Francis and Helen Elaine (Evans) Killewald. Jerry served in the United States Army during the Vietnam Era, serving two duty tours from 1959 until 1965. He retired from General Motors after 32 years of hard work and dedication.
Jerry married Alice Irene Stanard on March 7, 1970. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling and most importantly, loved spending time with his family and grandkids.
Jerry is survived by his loving wife, Alice; son, Gerald "J.K." James Killewald Jr.; brothers, Donald Killewald and Thomas (Laura) Killewald; brothers-in-law, Charles and Stephen Stanard; sister-in-law, Diane Killewald; grandchildren, Owen, Gage, Ava and Emmett ;and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, George Killewald; grandson, Mac Killewald ;and sister-in-law, Vivian Terry.
A memorial service will be held this summer. Memorial contributions can be made to St. Vincent de Paul or St. Raphael Catholic Church. You may offer your condolences to the family at www.bureshfuneralhomes.com.

It took my breath away to hear of Jerry´s passing. A true salt of the Earth man. Some of my favorite memories are sitting around the Oscoda table playing cards and discussing life. God speed, Jerry. A life well lived. I know your reunion with Mac is spectacular. And if I had to choose a thought of what it looked like, it would be the two of you crossing over the Lil Mac bridge into the glory of Heaven. Thank you for being such a solid presence in our family.
