Gerald "Jerry" M. Klee, cherished husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend passed away peacefully on June 23, 2025, at the age of 80. Born in the scenic town of Harbor Beach, Michigan, on November 17, 1944, Jerry embraced life's journey with vigor and joy, always carrying the sunshine of his birthplace within him.
Jerry lived in Roseville, MI for a good part of his life and after retirement from Ford Motor Company, Jerry and his wife built a beautiful home on their 40-acre retreat in Stanton, MI. It was in recent years when Jerry and his wife moved to Washington, MI, to be closer to his family. Jerry's life was a testament to the values of hard work, devotion, and simplicity. He dedicated 32 years of his career at Ford, earning perfect attendance and setting a standard of excellence for all who worked alongside him. A pillar in his community and among his coworkers, Jerry was known for always having a funny story, a generous spirit, and a sweet tooth "bigger than a chocolate factory."
Jerry shared 58 wonderful years of marriage with the love of his life, Agnes. Together, they raised four remarkable daughters: Jean (John) Reiland, Carol (the late Ed) Montrose, Pauline (Matt) Beck, and Julie (Joseph) Ren. Jerry's legacy continues through his cherished grandchildren: Lori Reiland, Brandon (Brooke) Reiland, Hunter Montrose, Sydney Beck, Hannah Beck, Lindsay (Alex) Haack, Wyatt Ren, and Katie (William) Jaynes, as well as his great-grandchildren: Hailey Reiland, Amelia Griffith, Sophia Jaynes, Logan Haack, and Alaina Haack.
He also leaves behind the support and love of his two brothers, Ron and Gary, and five sisters, Agnes, Elvera, Evelyn, Margaret, and Helen who will forever remember him as the life of the party and a beacon of strength and humor in their lives. Preceding him in death is his older brother Charles Klee Jr. and his parents, Charles and Anna Klee, who welcomed him into eternal peace.
A devoted church-goer, Jerry always put God first in his life and inspired others to walk alongside him in faith. His zest for the simple pleasures - hunting, fishing, and gardening - was infectious, encouraging everyone to appreciate the beauty of nature and goodness in everyday moments.
Jerry's memory will be honored through his loving family and the countless lives he touched. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Lung Cancer Association, furthering the fight against the disease with hope for future generations. https://action.lung.org/site/Donation2?df_id=31271&mfc_pref=T&31271.donation=form1
Friends and family are invited to a celebration of Jerry's life at Wasik Funeral Home-Shelby Township, where they are encouraged to share memories, laughter, and perhaps a chocolate treat in his honor.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 30, 2025 from 2:00-8:00 pm with a 7:00 pm scripture service at Wasik Funeral Home, 49150 Schoenherr Rd. (n. of 22 Mile Rd), Shelby Twp. Instate Tuesday from 9:30 am until a 10:00 am funeral mass at St. Isidore Catholic Church 18201 23 Mile Rd., Macomb, 48042.
Jerry's warmth and laughter will be sorely missed, but his legacy of love, humor, and kindness will live on eternally.
