Gerald P. O'Hanlon

Gerry was born on August 27, 1951 to Alice and Tim O'Hanlon in Woodside, NY. Not long after, the family moved to Middle Village where they settled for 50 years. Gerry later moved to Glen Head where he raised his three children. He was an entrepreneur with his own business, Celtic Sales, that sold plumbing supplies to plumbing wholesalers.

Gerry kept busy with several hobbies throughout his life. He loved photography and had a sizable collection of vintage cameras and equipment. This came in handy with one of his other passions, which was traveling. He often took trips abroad as well as explored locally on his Harley Davidson. As a younger man, fishing was also one of his favorite pastimes.

When people remember Gerry, they will remember his humor and quick wit. He always had a smart comeback. Even during his illness, he always had a funny reply to his nurses.

Gerry is survived by his three children, Emily, Jack and Liam; his three siblings, Pat (Al), Liam (Peggy), and Eileen (John); and many nieces and nephews who will miss him dearly.

The family has chosen to send donations to The Michael J. Fox Foundation.
