HUNTINGTON - Gerald Lynn Osbun, 72, passed away on Friday, Sept. 12, 2025, at his home in Huntington, Indiana.
He was born on Dec. 14, 1952, in Auburn, Indiana, to Lester and Joan Osbun.
Gerald was a 1972 graduate of DeKalb High School.
He worked for Bauman Harnish Rubber Company and then retired from Foamex in Auburn.
Gerald enjoyed watching wrestling and fishing. He loved watching his daughters take part in their sporting events and watching the grandchildren and their activities.
He married Sheryl Lynn (Klinger) on Dec. 18, 1971. She resides in Huntington.
He has two daughters, Jennifer (Osbun) and Lenny Cooper, of LaGrange and Christy Clark, of Huntington; grandchildren, Nathan and Erica Cooper, of Angola, Kaitlyn Cooper, of Howe, Danita and Kayden Gee, of Wabash, and Nicholas Clark, of Huntington; great-grandchildren, Dawson Cooper and Scarlett Gee; brothers, Ronald Osbun, of Auburn, Jack Osbun, of Columbia City and Max and Heidi Osbun, of Nashville, Tennessee; a sister, Cathy Workman, of Findlay, Ohio; many nieces and nephews; sisters-in-law, Lucille Osbun, of Kendallville, Faye Neldon, of Garrett and Jo and Randy Jones, of Kendallville; and a brother-in-law, William "Sandy" and Kathy Klinger, of Garrett.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Wayne Osbun; and sister, Connie Albertson.
A memorial service will take place at 2 p.m., on Saturday, Oct. 18, 2025, at Crosspointe Family Church, 210 Highpoint Crossing, Kendallville, with Michael Little officiating.
A gathering of family and friends will take place immediately following the service at the church.
Memorial donations may be directed to Crosspointe Family Church.
